What I like about this save is that Backstrom is 1) moving and not set when the shot is taken (being set is preferred but doesn't always happen) , and 2) theie is traffic at the edge of the crease.

Right on! The Over 40 goalies around here don't have that game.

This is part of the system we have been working on with him with the principle being: "Don't wait and let others control, you control your own game"
