A Yoga Movement for the Hips

Postby Cubanpuckstopper » Fri Jan 13, 2012 4:05 pm

As I get older my hips seem to become tighter.

This is a yoga movement, but one of the best I have found for the outisde of the hips, as well as the surrounding areas.

This video describes the move with great details

Thanks Cuban!

I can vouch for yoga (especially the hot version) for maintaining or improving your movability (is that a word?). I started two years ago, once a week and gained tremendously, especially on leg saves when pads are on the ice. It is so easy to kick the pad a bit wider now, stymying numerous forwards in their effort to score a goal.

In general, yoga has helped me to improve mid-body muscles as well as it is quite heavy excercise if done properly. For an old geezer like me getting more flexibility and better body muscles is the key for better hockey, and helps in life as well :D
