Yeah... Deployed incorrectly in a situation where another save selection was more appropriate. From my understanding of the technique, anyway.
Also, shaky execution. Right pad was too flat, parallell to (more like on TOP of) the goal line, allowing the far side goal. This is a problem I have when I try this -- I don't get rotated outward enough to be square to the puck. (Did I say that in a way that made sense?)
I understand Bryz' temptation to use that technique in that situation, though. I can sometimes feel myself kind of default to it, as I feel for the post on a quick rush down the boards. Better positional awareness (relative to the net) as the play progresses, is likely the answer for a beer-leaguer like me.
