Congratulations to RIT

A bit of a change from my normal post, but we need to take the time to say congratulations to RIT who will be making their first appearance in the NCAA Division I Hockey Tournament.

One of sixteen is a great accomplishment.

Agree, great for the school and program. Just wish jani would have seen playing time...but he is patient...

Great academics and good hockey program. I wish I could get more Finnish players there in the future.

Quite an upset last night when RIT won Denver 2-1. Looks like DeMichiel was sensational. Score was 2-1 for RIT, but shots were 40-24 for Denver.

I think that RIT boys will really enjoy Frozen four. Seemed like they were clicking on all cylinders last night against New Hampshire. I don't think too many Finnish players have been there before.

DeMichiel was eastern MVP and his game against Denver really earned RIT the spot.

It would have been hard to imagine that we would be discussing the Frozen Four in this thread.

What a great achivement, for the Rochester area in general and for future recruiting.

Looks like a lot of people were waiting for the team when they arrived back to RIT campus at 2 AM.

Found this local newscast at the end of the regular season where Jan got some playing time. It seems like RIT is having a real stellar season and gaining a lot of popularity.

Well, not the outcome everyone hoped for, but a heeluva of a ride getting there.

Jan did get ice time, which in the big picture puts him in a rare category as there are few goalies that can say they participated in a Frozen Four game.

The Wall mask got plenty of air time as ESPN cut away to the RIT bench.

Best of all the future looks very bright.
